If you’re unsure of whether your idea fits within Saynario’s vision submit it anyways! We’ll try our best to review submissions and get in contact with you as soon as possible.

GUIDELINES / FAQ for SUBMIT SECTION

  • Please include with your submission:

    • Your Name / Pseudonym (if you would like to be known as “Anonymous”, let us know)

    • A short description of your submission (preferably with a title, if it’s an article or artwork)

  • Having a public platform is not a requirement for submitting, but if you do have a public platform (i.e. you are a blogger, filmmaker, writer, artist with a public account that features your work), we suggest and prefer if you’d include a short bio or links to your website/socials.

  • We will not be accepting any unoriginal or plagiarized work - if we find out that your work has been plagiarized you will be banned from submitting to Saynario.

  • Who can submit to Saynario?

    • Anyone who identifies as Arab and is 16+ years old with proficiency in English or Arabic. We don’t have specific requirements (such as being previously published or having certain credentials), but we do ask that you submit your work in a neat, organized manner (e.g. no Comic Sans or other funky fonts… we know you’re cooler than that). And we know no one is immune to the occasional typo, but all we’re asking is that you proofread before submitting.

  • What type of submissions do you accept?

    • Original writings and artwork by Arabs on cinema, entertainment, pop culture, including a bit of music and literature as well. This includes articles, reviews, poetry, photography, music, video essays, and more - it just has to be related to cinema/pop culture. If you have any hesitance as to whether or not it’s something we might be interested in, send it over anyway!

    • We would also like to shine a spotlight on Arab filmmakers - reach out to us! (We’re not interested in celebrity gossip or tabloid stories.)

  • Will you feature EVERYTHING that gets submitted to you?

    • No. While this exists to feature the work of people from all over the Arab-pop-culture-enthusiasts community, we can’t feature content that doesn’t meet a certain standard (i.e. unedited, bad grammar, etc.). We review each submission we get and will try to provide feedback for those we do not feature.

  • Do you accept pitches?

    • We do accept pitches (I.e. sending in ideas for something rather than completed works) but only if you’ve written, shot, done something before. Otherwise, we can’t promise that we’ll feature your work.

  • Will you get paid for submissions?

    • No. At least not right now. This is meant to be a collaborative, community-based project and considering how many submissions we receive, it’s not sustainable to pay everyone whose submission gets accepted.

  • What language does my submission have to be in?

    • Either English or Arabic.

  • Can I join the Saynario Team?

    • E-mail us with the subject “Saynario Team”.

  • Is Saynario present on social media?

  • I have more questions about Saynario!

نحن نقبل مراجعات ، مقالات ، أعمال فنية ، أفلام قصيرة عن الافلام ، المسلسلات، الكتب، الفن و الثقافة ال”بوب”. إذا كان لديك أي تردد بشأن ما إذا كان هذا شيئًا قد نهتم به أم لا ، فأرسله على أي حال!

 هل سنعرض كل ما يتم تقديمه لنا؟

    - لا،لا يمكننا عرض كل ما يتم تقديمه لابد للمحتوى أن يلبي معايير معينة (صحة الإملاء-قيمة المحتوى-أن يكون أصلي وغير مسروق). 

ستتم مراجعة كل إرسال نحصل عليه وسنحاول تقديم ملاحظات لأولئك الذين لا نعرض اعمالهم.
